Psychotherapy and Professional Coaching

in Auckland and Online

Clinical Psychologist

I am a New Zealand Registered Clinical Psychologist and have extensive experience in working with people on how to successfully navigate today’s fast paced and highly demanding environment, in both their professional and personal lives.

After a corporate career and retraining as a psychologist in my 40's I have focused on working with people who are struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship difficulties, loss, and life transitions.

I offer Psychosocial Support as well as Professional Coaching. If you need help in any of these areas then please get in touch.

I look forward to working with you.

Green Leaf

My aim is to provide a safe and compassionate space where we can explore and understand the challenges you face. We will work together to develop ways for you to move forward in a practical and meaningful way.

I use a range of evidence-based therapies including

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),

  • Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT),

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

  • Mindfulness based practices.

Many people also find it useful to have an independent and confidential place to reflect on how their lives are tracking and have support to make any changes they want to make.

1. How can therapy help me?

Therapy can help you to process distressing emotions and past experiences, identify old patterns that are no longer serving you well, and learn new ways of relating to yourself and others. It can enable healing and growth. However, these benefits are not guaranteed. People vary in their response to therapy for many different reasons. As with any process designed to bring about change, there are challenges to participating in therapy. It can be distressing to reflect on, and address, difficulties in one’s life. Also, be aware that making changes in your life is not always easy and may take a bit of time and energy, so please be patient and be prepared to “stick with it” even if it feels difficult. I will try to help you make the changes you want to make as quickly and effectively as possible.

2. When are you available?

I'm available for appointments Tuesday to Thursday. Please use my contact form and I will email you to arrange a time to talk to you over the phone before making an appointment. This call lets you get a sense of who I am and also gives me a chance to figure out if I have the skills and capacity to help. If I don’t think I’m the right person I’ll let you know who I think might be able to help.

3. Do you offer sessions via Zoom, Skype etc?

Yes, I offer online appointments as well as in-person sessions at various Auckland locations (e.g Parnell, St Heliers and Ellerslie).

4. How long are the sessions?

The first session is 90min with subsequent sessions being 50-60min.
